Day 3: Christmas to General Santos City

Actually one of my priority in this trip is to be able to meet all of my hubby's nephe and niece. So in our Day 3 we bound to General Santos City via Bus. Its a 2-3 hours trip.

Pictures during our bus trip to GenSan.

During our bus trip I ask our sales rep assigned in General Santos to assist us in hotel booking and presto!!! we checked in no problem encountered in Sydney Hotel, this hotel strategically located near in City Hall, Church, School, supermarket and some local restaurant. We arrive at Sydney Hotel past noon and we decided to take our lunch in a fast food one block away. After that we decided to visit distant relative that can help us locate my hubby's nephew, fortunately they gave us a contact # and decided to call them and give direction to the hotel.

Its already late when we saw them and we planned that our next day will be our bonding time

Picture w/ Vanvan and Bebe my hubby's nephew during our malling in KCC Mall.

After malling we decided go back to Sydney Hotel and drop our items we bought before we head on to the local park.

During our "laboy" in a local park near our hotel wherein I bought 3 malong.

Day 2: Crocodile Farm and NCCC Mall

We don't have a planned itinerary in this trip but if you ask me what i want to do in Davao I want to visit Crocodile Farm, Eden Farm, Phil Eagle Center and Pearl Farm, but since we have a limited time we decided in our day 2 we go to Crocodile Farm since its the most nearest in Agdao. My brother in law take us there.

Crocodile Farm is actually like zoo for me, majority of what we saw is off course "CROCS".

Some Pictures taken there:

We have our lunch in NCCC Mall, actually I though malls in the province are much more smaller and crowded but to my surprise, it also resembles Metro Manila Mall. Except locals talks to you sometimes in their dialect.

Our Davao Trip Day 1

At last I already got our photos in Davao. We only use K810 Cellphone Camera in taking this pictures and I hope it also has a good quality if printed like in digital camera.

Now I want to post here in blog our whole trip in my hubby's home town so I have to make it details as possible.

Day 1 : Dec 23

Our flight was schedule at around 12:15pm so we have to check in at the airport at 10am. So far we make it at 10:30am and we checked in without too much problems except my son wants to wander around the airport in Terminal 3, oh by the way we buy our ticket in Cebu Pacific in advance.

Unfortunately we don't have any photos during this time. Since this is the first time Bembem will travel in plane, so we orient her what to expect although she seems excited she still a little nervous because as she said it feels like she's falling. so to distract them we gave our 2 children a lollipop. As first Renren is quite during the 30mins, he was just flipping the magazines that the airline inserted in each seat, but the rest of our flight is a disaster. He want to walk in the aisle and sometimes throw something like coins, paper and his feeding bottle to other passenger(during the flight were using Playtex Drop-Ins Bottle)

After 2 hrs (around 2pm) one of our company sales supervisor who handles Davao area gives us a service and drop us in R. Castillo in Agdao, Davao.

The whole afternoon was spend chatting with my hubby's relatives who are waiting for us their, my mother-in-law was excited to see her 2 apo for the "first time".

My sister's Deviant Art

I'm always amuse for what my sister can do with her canvass, actually she can draw an anime portrait in one sitting if she puts her heart on it. Thats the reason why my daughter Bembem was drawn to her, because of my sister artistic talent. In all of my siblings my sis Juvy is the most talented, but sometimes hard headed.

Anyway, I browse the net to look for her art work since I always want to post some of them here in my blog. Im just hoping she still had time to draw and collect some of it.

Here are some of it.Enjoy!!!!:

Last Friday is August 8, 2008.

Two big events was happened that day

1. 2008 Olympic opening in Beijing China..... and

2. Alyssa's 8th Birthday.!!!!!!

It is significant number for all Chinese, they said it will give you luck and some says it is also represent infinity due to its loop design.

Anyway, for us this is the BIG DAY for Bembem (Alyssa) actually she didn't celebrate her 7th birthday last because we want to delay it for this day. We have a children party last Saturday in Jollibee Frisco and we invited her classmates and friends.

Her Dad and I was arguing last week what will be her attire but, Bembem wants a Sakura Card Captor Costume. My hubby suggest she should wear any outfit but only in Red color (for Chinese this will brings you luck) or since it is also 2008 Beijing Olympic, he also suggest olympic or athlete attire.

Still Bembem wants her Sakura Costume, so we decided to come up similar to this.

Should Marriage License have an expiry date?

I know this idea deviates Catholic teaching, specially we Filipinos are the sole Catholic country in Asia. But actually i think this is practical, I know that the concept of Family as an institution may consider a "HOLY" or "BANAL" in our culture but actually there are "few" practical and more sensible arguments that I actually heard from some people (one actually from my office mates and to my surprise a blog also discuss this click here and look for #9 entry) asking or somehow thinking it out loud "why not this license or contract be renewable?"

Did it not occur to you why not? One of my officemate just saying that marriage contract may consider renewable for 5 or 10 years. And i think more women will agreed to it than men! What do you think.

Do you know that I'm Reward Points Card Addict?

Yeah I am! I'm just practical and I don't hide it.Actually I'm flaunting it.

See this!!!!!!

These loyalty cards came from Laking National (bookstore),SM Advantage (Dept Store- I have 2 of them actually), Mercury Drug Suki Card (Drugtore)and The Wise Card (Supermarket).

My first loyalty card is Mercury Drug Suki Card with accumulated 500+ points (which is equivalent to Php peso) and was issued I think last 2003 and I never redeemed any points the first time I used it, and now I actually tempted to use it. In this card I earned points for every P200.00 purchase so if i do the math: 500pts x 200 = 100,000 worth of purchases was made by me!! Wow I didn't realize I spend that much on medicines and other health and beauty products.

The most used loyalty card is my SM Advantage card thats why I have 2 of them, one of them have my maiden name and married name the other. Same as the Suki Card I also earned pts for every P200 worth of purchase. Oh! I almost forgot I have to renew one of these card before end of July this year so I have to redeemed all of those points to prevent deletion of points due to expiration of the card.

The last 2 which is the Laking National and Shopwise card are recently acquired a few months I think. Maybe you are asking why do I bother having this card? Good question.

My answer : WHY NOT. If you are a regular buyer for a certain store or establishment you must enjoy their loyalty program by earning points and exchanged those points for gift checks or offset your points to your bill. Some store (ex. Shopwise) have a double your point program if you use their reusable bag (a canvass bag with their store logo) in participation to save the earth awareness due to global warming. Isn't it nice and practical as well? Earning points and helping mother earth to reduce mankind footprint in this precious earth at the same time.
